Wednesday September 15 12:00PM - 3:00PM
A conversation about collaborative approaches to the craft of directing: from working with designers, to conceiving a rehearsal/production schedule, to working with actors, theatres, and playwrights. This workshop is an open dialogue about how the director can act as artistic interpreter and exercise their own voice while supporting and empowering their collaborators.
For 20 years, Thomas has worked nationally and internationally as an artistic director, director, playwright, dramaturg, movement coach and teacher. Last season, he had the great fortune of directing Katharsis by Yvette Nolan, Post-Democracy by Hannah Moscovitch, and VOICE (with Cherissa Richards) by Ismaila Alfa at Prairie Theatre Exchange. This season he will direct The War Being Waged by Darla Contois and Bad Parent by Ins Choi.
